Toulmin Motors might be new in its current guise but the name may ring a bell with some readers as its roots go back to the 1930’s with Peter’s grandfather, Albert Toulmin who ran Toulmin Motors MG’s of London until the 60’s when it was taken over by a co-worker until the 1980’s all based out of the same recognisable art deco building near the Hammersmith flyover.
Toulmin Motors was reborn for the modern era in 2010 by Peter Toulmin and it was deemed fitting to have the family name once again in the public eye, as a family run affair.
Toulmin Motors has the kind of approachable atmosphere that will make any customer feel instantly at home.
A human face to the business which is what gives such a friendly vibe, from Peter at the business end, Mum and Sister who run reception to the experienced hands out in the workshop and the team of specialists that wait in the wings for the next call.
A unique brand of approachability, flexibility and service that is evident at each visit, the new modern version of Toulmin Motors may only share the name of Albert’s once respected business on paper but the DNA of that Hammersmith operation is clearly still lurking around in Windsor Today.
Toulmin Motors primarily opened for Retro and Custom but goes far deeper, from a Robin Reliant of the “del boy era” to Skylines, an extremely rare De Tomaso V8, 1960 Capri, Jaguar , Lotus, Rover P6 V8, 1954 Ice cream van and many more - all this alongside the family Ford Fiesta, Mondeo, Nissan etc - even a skate board has been repaired!
